NYX Lip colors

I always hear pretty good feedback on NYX products and now I know why. Cheap and good quality. I only had 3 lipsticks before NYX... that I rarely wear! I'm more of a lip gloss person. I decided NYX would be perfect for lipstick testing because its soo cheap and they have so many popular colors to choose from.

NYX lipsticks are really creamy! Which is why they probably don't wear very long. They feel like they will melt away, their so creamy. But they don't dry your lips or feel heavy. I purchased these at Cherryculture.com, they are much cheaper at Cherry then in stores and on the online NYX store. Dior Addict

I was in Sephora about 2 months ago and purchased Dior Addict. I purchased it because of its great reviews on Sephora.com and MUA and strange reviews on certain blogs made me very curious.

It comes in a navy blue bottle with gold engraving. It has a gold twist knob you turn to unlock before you can spray. I love the bottle its unique and suits the scent very well. I'm not to fond about the name 'Addict' but some users believe this suits it very well.

I'm starting to enjoy this scent now that its getting colder here. It comes off very strong at first but your left with a very sweet vanilla scent when it calms down. I herd vanilla is a very seductive scent with men. My boyfriend loves this on me but I wear it very very lightly. Some women wear this scent heavier and receive many compliments.

This is NOT a summer scent! Not for me anyway. When I first wore it, it was on a very hot day and it did not mix well with me or the heat. It smelled very over powering and almost like a cruel women. I know that sounds weird but its the only way to explain it. It was like clinical, dirty-sexual and harsh. But now in cold weather it smells softer, sweeter, confident and sexy, it might even be a little mysterious and dark at times. The lasting power is amazing! It lasts most of the day to all day long. All I need is 1 spray, 2 may be too strong.

The Sandalwood and Night Queen flower both have scents that are similar to vanilla and with the Bourbon Absolute it makes it a very ''vanilla scent'.

The seductive natural look

I love this natural - everyday look don't you? Its true what they say "Less is more", if you do it the right way of course.



Ways to achieve this look
This is a very simple natural look. That can be easily transformed into a more seductive look if you add eyeliner to your bottom lids and smudge it a bit. Don't forget to contour and highlight! Its literally a 5-10min look!



Some products I would use for this look: Loreal Voluminous(or Diorshow) mascara, Loreal Hip eyeliner (or MAC gel liner), NARS blush in Taj Mahal or Luster, Smashbox lip liner, Revlon Super Lustrous (Life's a Peach) or Benefit - Lip tint, NYX - 10 Color Palette - Champagne & Caviar





If your trying to save like me you can look in the drug store for products that can match your other cosmetics. Revlon colorstay is a great replacement for MAC studio fix fluid. Loreal Hip Liner is a great replacement for MAC or Smashbox. Max Calorie mascara, Loreal and Maybelline have great replacement mascaras for Dior or MAC. My New Solotica Contacts! And other brands

Solotica Hidrocharme - Mel / honey appears green on dark eyes. In some lights they appear grayish blue.

I've been wearing prescripted contacts for about 4 yrs now. When I first started I decided to experiment with colored lenses to make my lens wearing more enjoyable. After awhile of wearing colored lenses I made the choice to stay away from them because they dry your eyes no matter what brand they are and I started hating the way colored lenses looked... fake.


You should know colored lenses allow less oxygen into your eyes, causing them to feel dryer faster, which is very discomforting over time. My vision is much more sharp and clear with clear lenses then with colored and I rarely feel them.


Natural Eye color

BUT I decided to give colored lenses another shot when I read great reviews on Solotica colored lenses. So far I am very impressed with solotica. The color looks more natural then any other brand I've tried or seen on other people... so far anyway. They blend very well with your natural eye color and change in different lighting(Their color is more intense and vibrant in brighter lights and in flash photos).


I would not recommend wearing any colored contact lens brand for more then 8 hrs a day or sleeping with them on as they dry out your eyes and could make them a bit sensitive to brighter lights that can cause headaches (from my experience anyway). Overall its not good to deprive your eyes from oxygen and moisture.


Solotica may seem more expensive because their annual lenses. If your a prescripted user then the price is fairly cheap if you add up on how much you spend per year on monthly lenses. If you do rely on Solotica for vision and use them daily, then you have to make sure they are cleaned throughly every night. And that you have a spare set of clear contacts or glasses to switch to, if you start to feel discomfort ...which you probably always will with colored lenses. You should also carry eye drops with you.

Solotica Lenses

Solotica Is by far my favourite brand for color. I've had soo many compliments about my eyes when wearing solotica. They look very close to natural and the color pops. Other colored contact brands I've tried our Freshlook color blends, Freshlook Radiance and Expressions. ProClear is my favourite for clear contacts I highly recommend them! :)

Solotica comes in 3 different types: Naturals, Hidrocharme and Hidrocor

Naturals - Are more recommended for lighter eyes or if your looking for a small change in color. They are more translucent than the others.

Hidrocharme - These come with a limbal ring for more intensity. They look great on anyone but they look better on someone with a smaller iris. You will receive the most compliments with these! But the ring could make them appear more unreal.

Hidrocor - Is the most natural looking of the solotica lenses. They are the same as the charme but without the limbal ring.

Beauty Haul 1

Yes I know...I was suppose to hold off make up purchasing for awhile. But I stopped by MAC last week and I couldn't help from buying a few things. I didn't actually buy anything from the Cult of Cherry collection..YET but I will soon I hope. I was trying to save so I bought an eyeshadow palette from the Starflash collection, a shade stick in sharkskin and studio fix liquid foundation (since my skin gets dryer in the winter). I also stopped by the New NARS stand and purchased a blush in Taj Mahal.


NARS Blush - TAJ MAHAL

I have been using MAC blush(powder blush M03) its a very bright pink color. I put it on very sheer it gives my cheeks a light rosy look, which I think is perfect for the winter when my skin is about 3 shades lighter.
I was heading to the MAC counters today and I was thinking of purchasing a new blush when I looked over and saw a new NARS stand. I’ve herd great raves about NARS blushes, especially their orgasm blush for a long time now. So I asked the man behind the counter about NARS orgasm and he told me it was very popular because the shade suited to many skin tones and a big part of its popularity had to do with the name ‘Orgasm’. He then told me that the rest of the NARS blushes were just as amazing and recommended me Taj Mahal for my skin tone. I was a bit frightened by the bright orange golden hue of it. So he tried it on my cheeks and it looked fab! I love it and it’s my new favourite blusher. I would really recommend this color if you have a light to dark olive toned skin(tanned summer skin) with golden hues, MAC wise I am NC30. I’m really excited to try out more NARS blushes. They have an amazing selection of colors and I would buy them all if I could! Tell me about your favourite NARS blushes and your skin tone.

If you love pale pink colors, then try Pout lip gloss by smashbox! My friends love it too! Its a perfect pale pink that goes on a bit sheer at first but is easily buildable, which is great.

I give the MAC studio fix fluid a 9/10! I love it! Best foundation I've tried yet :). If you have sensitive skin then I would stick to lighter makeup or try CoverFx.
Over all I happy with all my purchases! But I might try Max factor mascara next, I herd its just as amazing or even better then Dior Show for less then half the price.

Jessica Alba Makeover

I decided to do a fall inspired makeup-look on a celebrity using Photoshop CS3. I used Jessica Alba as my model. I also wanted to show you some other things that can be done with photoshop. This is only my 3rd video so hopefully it turned out ok... I'm still new to Movie Maker :D
